Nadeshiko japan defeats costa rica at fifa women’s world cup

At Dunedin Stadium on Wednesday, Japan defeated Costa Rica 2-0 thanks to two goals in the first half, securing the 2011 champions’ place in the Women’s World Cup’s knockout stages. 

The Nadeshiko repeated their lively passing style from their opening 5-0 victory over Zambia, and after Spain defeated the African team later Wednesday, they will advance to the round of 16 for the fourth consecutive World Cup.
